Studio's Summer of 25 Project Delivers a Grand First Impression

As part of a massive 2025 summer renovation push, The Studio, Tower Street is proud to unveil the stunning results of our exterior masonry project. The beautiful Grade II listed building has received a much-needed facelift, thanks to the collaborative efforts of local painter Gary Carter.

The project aimed to restore the building’s historic charm, which had become a bit weathered over time. With materials source from Travis Perkins Hartlepool, the team invested in Sandtex Magnolia paint to revitalise the building's facade. This wasn't just a simple paint job; the team meticulously sanded and cleaned all areas to ensure a perfect finish.

During the process, they also took the opportunity to show some tender loving care to the beautiful wooden window frames. These were carefully sanded down and re-stained, bringing out their natural beauty and providing them with a fresh layer of protection.

According to Trustee and Head of Maintenance Tony Armstrong, the project was about more than just aesthetics. "You only get one chance at a first impression," Tony said. "This beautiful building is a piece of local art in itself. Investing in it will only bring further investment to the area and to the studio."

This exterior work is a key part of the larger summer initiative at The Studio, demonstrating a commitment to preserving the building's heritage while creating a more inviting and impressive space for the community as part of a 2 year investment project.
