About The Event
Michael Gallagher – Homecoming Weekender
Nearly a year will have passed since Michael Gallagher last played in his hometown, and he’s making up for lost time with two back‑to‑back shows on Friday 28 & Saturday 29 November 2025 here at The Studio.
Gallagher grew up in Hartlepool but is now based in Manchester. His music blends the guitar‑driven energy of the 2000s with sharply observed lyrics about love, loss and togetherness.
Influenced by acts like The Strokes, The Vaccines and Bob Dylan he’s drawn comparisons to those very artists and has received support from Radio X, BBC Introducing and CLASHmusic..
Over the past few years he has played major festivals including the Isle of Wight, Truck Festival and Y Not?sold out headline dates in Newcastle, Manchester, Sunderland and Hartlepool, and supported artists such as Bastille, Pigeon Detectives and Reverend and the Makersrgm.press. Recently he recorded new material at Kempston Street Studios with producer Alex Quinn, with that 2025 is hinted to be Michael's breakthrough year.
